Perusing a research report written by my long-lost friend Laura J. Lederman at William Blair & Co., I learned the following about Forrester Research:
- The company recently moved to a "role-based model," meaning that it gears its research to professionals in specific corporate roles, such as CIO or CMO. Gartner made this shift years ago.
- It plans to employ 360 salespeople by the end of 2008, up from 300.
- Nail-biting time: Forrester renews half of its research subscriptions between September and December
- Forrester targets companies with at least $1 billion in annual revenue; it currently serves only 20 percent of them
- Forrester has sold 936 memberships to its Leadership Boards at a cost of $36,000 per year
- Forrester consultants charge $10,000 a day for their services
I'm a new Analyst focused on Social Computing at Forrester, thanks for the mention, and if you've any other questions reach out to me!
