JD Lasica this week posted about The Social Media Newsroom Template developed by SHIFT Communications (an SWMS subscriber). It appears the template first was launched in February, so JD might be mining the recent past here. In any case, check it out. It's reminiscent of SHIFT's Social Media News Release Template, with lots of modularity and a bias toward community content. For what this is worth, I wasn't a fan of the news release format because I am not a fan of mass-produced "news" -- even in good packaging. But the social media newsroom idea offers lots of value. Kudos to Todd Defren and team.
